K2 Construction currently employs more than 50 individuals and continues to grow each year. We believe in a family environment for our employees and take pride in cultivating personal relationships with everyone on our team. This comes through in our customer interactions and many of our returning customers will ask for our foreman by name. We believe in this personable approach from the construction site employee to the owner of the company and our clients interact at all levels of K2 Construction’s management.
K2 Management Team:
Tom Rogge, Manager
Tom has been in the underground utility industry since graduating high school in 1988 when he was hired by Rogge Engineering. From 1988 through 1992 Tom attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and worked full time, moving up through the ranks from laborer to construction supervisor. In 1998 Tom changed companies to become a construction supervisor for a large underground utility company in Lincoln. While there, Tom was in charge of projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $4 million. Tom joined K2 Construction in 2002 and has been a managing partner ever since.
Travis Sondgeroth, Manager
Travis graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. In 1995 Travis was commissioned into the Regular Army and Branched Engineer. While in the Army, he served at Fort Lewis, WA with the 14th Combat Engineer Battalion and served as; line platoon leader, support platoon leader, executive officer and battalion intelligence officer. In 1999 Travis moved to Lincoln, NE and took a position as a business development manager for a local underground utility company. In 2000 Travis began working as a contractor for a wireless telecommunication carrier. While there, he was involved in the design and construction of wireless sites. In 2002 K2 Construction was formed and Travis came on board as a managing partner.
Lance Paulsen, Projects Director
Lance grew up in the construction industry. He started working in the family construction company as a youth and eventually became President of the company, running the 300 employee firm for seven years. Lance is a graduate of the Construction Management program at UNL. He started his own company performing underground sewer and water projects, commercial building and real estate development. He has experience in all aspects of running a company and focuses on marketing, project management and personnel. Lance jointed K2 Construction in 2010.
Todd Lineweber, Superintendent
Todd is our Trench-less Manager in charge of Underground Directional Boring and has been with K2 Construction since 2003. Todd has 27 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career in 1980 as part of Lineweber & Sons, Inc. as directional boring operator, truck driver, crane operator and supervisor. Todd also gained experience in all types of underground utilities, directional boring, locating, heavy equipment operation and crew supervision throughout his career.
Carol Larkins, Controller
Carol joined K2 Construction in April 2009. She has over 30 years of accounting experience with the past 16 years in the construction industry. She is married to Michael and they have 2 daughters and 2 grand children.
Donna Skalak, Office Manager
Donna has over 15 years experience in the construction industry. She has worked with an architectural firm, engineering firm, as well as several construction companies. Donna received her secretarial/IT degrees from Mid Plains Community College in North Platte, Nebraska, and Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska. Donna relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband and three children to join our team in June 2006.
